Associative sponsorship of a team or society is a great way to get your brand on to team kit, casual sportswear, posters, plasma screens and other media used around the Union building - and indeed out there in the community. The Leeds Universities' Summer Ball is a unique event organised by the Leeds University Union, for all the students from the University of Leeds, Leeds Metropolitan University, Trinity and All Saints College, and Leeds College of Art and Design.
It is essentially a formal black tie summer ball on a modern, hi-tech festival site, hosted on the sumptuous grounds of Lotherton Hall, and is one of a kind in the UK. In June 2006 the Summer Ball accommodated 7,100 students and entertained them with headline act Rachel Stevens (past headliners include Goldie Lookin' Chain, Radio 1's Trevor Nelson, Blue and Goldie), other dance and indie acts, a fairground and places to eat and drink. The twelve-hour event (6.00pm - 6.00am) is extremely popular with the students of Leeds and is a great way for you to reach out to them.
The marketing for the event reaches in excess of 45,000 students from January through to June. Tickets for this year's event will be going on sale in mid-March, and full information about the event can be found at www.leedssummerball.com.

Varsity
The University of Leeds and Leeds Metropolitan University battle it out over one day of heated rivalry over 21 sports, with the finale at Headingley Stadium where the men's 1st rugby union teams represent their Universities in front a crowd of 5,000. A great chance to target both Universities in one go!
Colours Dinner
A chance to recognise, award and celebrate the University Unions sports' teams and individuals that have contributed to sport throughout the academic year, over a formal awards dinner.
Christies Cup
The one of the oldest inter-University competitions sees the University of Leeds, University of Manchester and University of Liverpool take place in a tri-tournament involving nearly 1,000 competitors over three weeks. This is again a fantastic way to reach out to students across the whole of North England.
Sports Ball
A chance in the year to bring all of Leeds University Unions Sports teams together for a formal dinner dance and to get a good relationship going between the different teams. A great big reward for all of their hard work over the year!
