Academic Problems
We can offer you information, advice and representation on all aspects of University Procedures, including appeals, cheating and resits.
Money Problems
Information and advice on a range of support relating to student finances including loans,fees and funding. We also offer advice on budgeting and managing debt.
Housing Problems
We provide an independent housing advice service, offering advice and representation in all aspects of housing both in University Accommodation and in the private sector.
International Student Support
Information aimed at international students. We are no longer able to offer immigration advice, but can refer or signpost you to the most appropriate agency for this.
Employment Advice
If you are looking for employment, please visit Joblink in the basement of LUU. We can offer information and advice on contracts and pay, national insurance and tax and your employment rights.
Health and Wellbeing
This section will provide you with a range of information and advice concerning your health and wellbeing.
Academic Appeals Surgeries
If you had problems during your exams and think your results were affected, you may want advice about appealing. The Student Advice Centre can help.
We can help you check how your degree has been calculated, advise you on whether you have a case, help you present your appeal to the University.
Appeals surgeries run from mid-June to end of July. Ring 0113 3801 300 to book an appointment.
Medical Students - get paid to help other students!
The Student Advice Centre is recruiting medical students to organise and run Chlamydia testing sessions for other students and young people around Leeds.

Deadlines for applications for Student Loans and Tuition Fee Loans for 0809. Don't forget that you have to reapply each year.
If you just want the minimum student loan (the one that does not take into account your family income) the deadline is 25 April If you want the maximum loan (the one that does take into account your family income) the deadline is 23 May.
