TV Licence
Remember that if you use any equipment to receive TV programs in your accommodation you need to buy a licence. This includes watching on your laptop or even your phone.
If you are in shared accommodation and on a joint contract, one licence will cover the whole house, but if you are in halls and have a TV in your room you will need your own.
TV Licensing officers do check halls and student addresses, and you could be risking a £1,000 fine.
Go to The TV Licensing Website to check if you need a license, and to buy one if you do.
