How To Start Your Own Activity

If one of our activities does not cater for you, why not start your own?

Any student at Leeds University can start their own activity. All you need is 20 people who would be willing to join your group.

1. Complete a Formation Form

Complete the online formation form by clicking here. Alternatively download a pdf version of the Formation Form or pick up one from the Activities Resource centre (ARC) Reception.

2. Meet to discuss your activity

Arrange a meeting with one of the Development Coordinators in the ARC or the Societies Officer to talk through your ideas and make sure you have thought through everything you would do as a group.

The Societies and sports executive committee will then make a decision whether to allow your activity to form or not.

To help you start you activity, we have the Give it a Go programme. Anyone who wants to start an activity will be offered the chance to run a session as part of Give it a Go to encourage people to come along to the activity and join in.

For general enquiries contact the ARC on Tel: 0113 3801 413, email uniarc@luu.leeds.ac.uk or take a trip to ARC located on the second floor of the Union where the friendly staff will be happy to help you.
