Freshers’ Ball
An extravaganza awaits you featuring loads of great live acts. A perfect way to finish off Intro and start your term!

More than 4000 party goers will meet up in Leeds University Union, in one massive event to celebrate the start of a new life in Leeds. Making use of every one of the Union’s venues and bars, The Freshers’ Ball has a bit of something for everyone.

The Refectory, Leeds’ largest live music venue, hosts live shows from Just Jack and Unklejam, ably supported by the resident DJs from LUU’s flagship student night Fruity. In Stylus, we are pleased to welcome Trevor Nelson to the decks, who regularly states what a great time he has DJing here!

Elsewhere we have Alex Zane (XFM/ Popworld) doing the honours on the decks in Mine, and Fabric residents Beat Monkeys headlining in Pulse. The Terrace sees a DJ set from The Soul Avengerz, Defected’s hot new talent Andy Daniell and SpeedQueen resident Lucy Locket.

And if you need a break from all that disco dancing then make your way to the Old Bar for something a little different; including a casino, close up magic, temporary tattoos and lots more fun and games.

This is a party that you simply can’t miss! Here is the full line-up:

Plus LUU’s Resident DJs: Will Peel (Fruity), Poppy (Work It), Chris Martin (The Tunnel Club), Hazy Dave (New Slang)
