A few things to be thinking about before getting to Leeds.
Before you arrive at Leeds you will receive loads of information through the post telling you all about the University and Leeds University Union. These documents will provide you with a good insight to what to expect when you get here so make sure to have a read!
In preparation for September, prior to your arrival at Leeds, this section of the Intro site will provide you with a glimpse of the halls of residence, what you can do before you arrive and tips of what to bring.
To help save time and allow you to get on with enjoying yourself, meeting new people and getting involved in the Union when you arrive, there are a few things you can do before Intro begins:
Open a Union Books Account and get 10% off all your university books.
Union Books is the Union's bookshop and is one of the only independent bookshops owned by a students' union in the country. Union Books provides a wide range of books from textbooks, specified on your reading list, to popular fiction and children's books.
You can save 10% on all purchases by opening a 'Saver Account' which works like a 'pay as you go' account in which you, a friend or family member can 'top up' so you always have credit (and 10% off) to buy books at any time throughout the year.

Get an NUS Extra card.
