Also in the Union: I used to work in the Old Bar, was on the Societies Exec as the Performing Rep and was a member of the Music and Stage Musicals Societies.

I stood for election because:

Student Activities are a great way of getting involved in LUU, offering amazing new opportunities for students. I want to promote all LUU activities and encourage others to get involved.

What does the role of Activities Officer involve?

To representing LUU activities locally, nationally and to the University, ensuring there is adequate support and facilities for students and student activity groups. Also, to oversee LUU activity campaigns and the LUU activities agenda.

While in office I intend to:

• Resource - Looking at space and rooms in the University and in the community for groups to host their activities and seek extra funding and support from external community partners.


• Representation - To represent the views of all activity groups equally and to empower the Activity Representatives to get groups involved in democracy.


• Promotion - To promote all activity groups in the University and in the community, gaining more opportunities for groups and promoting the high level of diverse and vibrant activities they do.
