Please download the forms below and return the reading list to us to ensure we stock up in time for next semester. Ordering Service

After a particular book? Give us a ring and we'll order it! You can place orders by phone, e-mail, or come down to our dedicated enquiries desk where we can also do an availability check. If we have the book in stock then we can reserve it; if not, we will do our very best to get hold of a copy for you. Books ordered usually take seven to ten days to arrive, although sometimes it's a lot quicker. Try to include as much information about the book as possible: title, author, publisher, and the ISBN if you know it (this makes it very much easier to locate!).

Second Hand Scheme

Selling: We do not buy your books from you. We act as an agent charging a 10p administration fee and 20% commission (which goes back into Union funds). You set your own price;just fill in a small card for each book (available from the Enquiries Desk). The books are put on sale in our second-hand section and you will get a receipt for each book and pop in every two weeks or so with your receipts to see if your books have sold. As soon as they have sold, you get your money!

Note:
  • Due to lack of space we can only take six books per person.
  • We won't normally accept old editions.
  • We cannot send you money, you will need to come in person or arrange for a friend to come in on your behalf.
  • All books are left at your own risk and we cannot be held responsible for missing books.
  • The scheme runs on a yearly basis (from March to March) and any unsold books and uncollected money must be collected by the date on your receipt.

Buying: You will find the second-hand section at the back of the shop, just to the left of the enquiries desk. The books are separated into broad subject areas and each book is priced on the inside cover. Prices are set by the owner of the book and we cannot exchange or refund second-hand book purchases. Once you've finished with your book, give it another life and recycle it: put it back in the scheme!
