SLAPsoc is the University of Leeds' Spanish, Latin-American and Portuguese Society and is open to anyone; whether you're Spanish, Latino, study Spanish or just are interested in all things Hispanic, don't hesitate to join!

We do lots of exciting stuff such as Salsa and Tango classes, which are on every week (watch this space for times of classes), SLAPsoc Futbol, Latino Nights such as Juntos, as well as trips to Hyde Park picture house to see Spanish, Latin American or Portuguese films.

We will also be doing a trip to Valencia in January. People who went on the last three trips in recent years (Barcelona, Granada and Madrid) will vouch that it is one of the highlights of the year; and Valencia will be no exception, so make sure you sign up! Don't miss out on this great long weekend of culture, exploring and clubbing!

On top of this there will be several massive events in conjunction with other language/cultural societies such as the Leeds famous Carnaval (with the Luso-Brasilian society) which brings the best of Latino/Brasillian culture together every month.

So, if you join any language/cultural society at Leeds, make sure it's SLAPsoc!
