PsycSoc aims to enhance your experience here at Leeds by providing entertainment, sport and academic accompaniments to your Psychology Degree as well as any other degree you may be doing!
Psychology Society is open to psychology students including elective students and joint honours students as well as those simply interested in psychology.
This coming year we have many events planned including a Freshers' Party, Careers Dinner, Sports Dinner and of course, the Psychology Society Ball as well as many general socials, some joint with other societies.
We are also going to improve the sports teams this year and as Psychology Society member you have the opportunity to help us do this! At the moment we have both football and netball teams which both compete in tournaments and which you, as a member, can be a part of. We are also hoping to put together some other teams depending on what is wanted by the members. The Sports Dinner will recognise all sporting achievements.
As a Psychology Society member you also have the opportunity to save lots of money by buying your books from the book sale held in the 2nd week of term. You can also make yourself some money by selling your old books.
The Careers Dinner will give all members a chance to speak to companies and consider options available to them once they finish their degree. This will be in association with Leeds Careers Centre and will help PsycSoc members to figure out the way that is right for them after university.
The Psychology Society Ball will be held at a top hotel in Leeds city centre. The ball will be a black tie event complete with an original theme, champagne reception, three course meal, and entertainment.
