The British Armed Forces Supporters Club under General Interest (BAFSC)
WHO WE ARE
We are a LUU society that looks ot support all British Armed Forces personnel, past and present. We want to support our Armed Forces all over the world and show that the student population apprecaites the work it does for our benefit all over the world. A big part of who we are is to fund raise for Armed Forces related charities as well as build an understanding community for students who have friends and family serving around the world.
WHO WE ARE NOT
- We are NOT a recruitment tool
- We are NOT a Pro War society
- We are NOT a political society
OUR AIMS
- Demonstrate that Leeds University Union Students support this country's Armed Forces.
- Promote the positive work they do all around the world.
- Raise awareness and fundraise for supporting charities.
- Provide support to students with serving friends and family.
THE CHARITIES
There are some fantastic charities in the UK doing important and life changing work.
BAFSC will campaign and fundraise for them in a bid to help their work and aims. These charities include Help for Heroes, The ABF, The Royal British Legion and SSAFA.
