Written by students, for students, Lippy has a proud 30 year history as Leeds University Union's very own women's magazine.
The perfect antidote to the vacuous rubbish filling the pages of Cosmo, this is an edgy magazine for intelligent people. It aims to challenge and inspire and never shies from the controversial. Lippy prides itself on witty, off-centre journalism based on gender issues ranging from the political to the absurd.
The aim is to produce two to three issues of Lippy a year, centred on a particular theme. Last year we had the Unisex issue which included articles on raunch culture, prostitution, male feminists and cross-dressing. After that came the Work issue, that covered everything from young entrepreneurs to honeytrappers.
