L.U.U.S.C. is open to any standard of sailor, from complete novice to experienced racers, which will have the chance to join L.U.S.T (Leeds University Sailing Team).
We have six Lark dinghies, which we sail at West Riding Sailing Club, close to Wakefield. We have beginners sailing on Wednesday afternoons, where a fully trained RYA instructor will be on hand to coach sailors of any experience.
Each weekend there is either team training on the Saturday, or we are competing in a University Team Racing competition somewhere around the country.
We compete in all types of events, including, Handicapped fleet racing, Endurance Racing, Match Racing and Team Racing. These are often on a National University scale, we also hold our own team racing event, 'The Halloween Howler', which sees 16 teams from the North of England competing in the first event of the season.
L.U.S.T. is a competitive team, from a very sociable club, with loads of socials, allowing people to get to know everyone else.
