Dance Band
LUU Dance Band is an ensemble of excellent quality and unparalleled enthusiasm!
We play a wide variety of dance band/big band repertoire including swing, funk, jazz and Sinatra.
As well as performing at prestigious music venues in Leeds, like the Wardrobe and Hi-fi Club, the band is frequently hired for functions such as society balls and events, including the huge Summer Ball at the end of the year.
The proceeds from these events are used to fund a week-long tour in the south of France every Easter. We invite trumpeters, trombonists, saxophonists, rhythm section musicians and vocalists to auditions every September.
