STAR (Student Action for Refugees) is a society for anyone that has an interest in the lives and issues of refugees and asylum seekers. What’s great about STAR is that not only do we have opportunities for volunteering in Leeds with our English speaking classes at the Common Place and St. Georges Crypt, we regularly hold innovative events to campaign for a group of people that are often forgotten about in society. There is always something to be involved in with STAR, whether you wish to come to a campaigning event or play a couple of times a term or give a couple of hours of your Saturday each week to helping out an English class.
