GeogSoc is a society run by students in the Geography department, who are responsible for organising events for students, both in Freshers' Week and throughout the year. It is the social hub of the department and is one of the liveliest subject based societies on campus. It is a great way to make new friends in the first few weeks of term and at other events later in the year which include parties, barbeques, pub crawls and a ball.
Being a member of GeogSoc entitles you to discounted entry at nightclubs for GeogSoc events, drink and food deals at the Faversham and Library Pub and cheaper tickets for the Geography ball. It will also allow you to compete in the society's sports teams against other departments, including netball, football and hockey.
