Brunei

Brunei is situated on the north western edge of Borneo Island. It has a population of about 370,000 and the official language is Malay. Brunei was once a British protectorate and it gained its independence in 1984. Brunei has an equatorial climate characterised by a uniform high temperature, high humidity and heavy rainfall. Temperature ranges from 23 - 32 Degree Celsius. The majority of the country is covered in tropical rainforests teeming with exotic flora and fauna. This tax-free country's main industry is the oil and gas industry. Brunei is an independent sovereign Sultanate that is governed on the basis of a written Constitution.
