We offer weekly classes in ballet at three stages: beginner, intermediate and advanced. The advanced class is taught by Gill (an RAD examiner) and the beginner and intermediate classes by Sarah. The times for classes are as follows (all take place at the Sport's Centre):
Beginners: 5.00pm to 6.00pm (Ancillary room)
Intermediate: 6.00pm to 7.30pm (Ancillary room)
Advanced: 5.30pm to 7.30pm (Sports Hall 2)
Everyone, regardless of their ability is welcome to attend although there are a set number of dancers we can have in each class so if you are interested in joining us please visit us at the Freshers' Fair!
We have some exciting social events planned: a trip to London where we will see a performance by the Royal Ballet, take a class at Pineapple Dance Studios and take a tour of the Opera House! We are alsogoing to introduce after-class drinks in The Terrace Bar and attend dance workshops at The Yorkshire Dance Theatre.
Membership of the society costs £10 and this covers all lessons, although we would recommend that you become a Sports Society User otherwise you will have to pay £3.50 every time you attend a class!
