We train twice a week, 4.00pm to 5.00pm on Monday and 5.00pm to 6.00pm on Thursday, at Tigers Gym in Meanwood, if you need directions please email us on the address below. You can come as often or as seldom as you like, attendance is not compulsory, but you will of course get more out of it by coming twice a week.
Training involves pad work, bag work, exercises and sparing, but sparing is completely optional, no one is going to force you to do anything you are not up for. The club's training is relaxed and friendly, but also to a high standard in a gym that is fully equipped. Classes focus on skills needed by amateur boxers and attaining the level of fitness required.
There is a small fee of £2 for each session, and this is paid at the beginning of each session you attend. You are quite welcome to come along and try our training once, but if you want to keep it up and join the club properly you will have to pay a membership fee of £25. This is nothing compared to what you would pay at any other gym!
The fitness (although a big part) is not the whole of it. We have regular socials throughout the year, and everyone is of course welcome. These include a whole range of crazy nights out in the biggest clubs and best pubs around Leeds.
No previous experience is needed to take part, many of our members are complete beginners but there's something on offer for all levels of experience. People wanting to take boxing more seriously will have the opportunity to enter the University BUSA Championship and also fight in club bouts throughout the year.
