Kickboxing

Kickboxing tends to be thought of as a recent trendy Martial art. Many die-hard Martial Artists do not consider it a valid style in itself. However, kickboxing in one form or another has been around as long as any of the other more 'traditional' styles but it is only in relatively recent years that the term been used to describe this branch of combat.

Essentially Kickboxing is comprised of functional combat moves that can be expressed in ways best suited to the individual. This is a less formal approach than other styles and allows for maximising the successful mastering of a technique. Pad work and sparring make up a lot of the class time to ensure these skills can be practised in more realistic settings. In addition to this one step techniques and self-defence are also taught and seen as valuable techniques.

Our club has a friendly atmosphere and encourages a trial training session before joining the club to find out what it is like. All levels of abilities are welcomed, and whether you're a complete beginner or a more experienced martial artist, a level of training suited to your standard will be available from professional qualified instructors. So if you're aiming to become an accomplished black belt or even if you're simply interested in learning a new skill, give it a go-it's all possible!
