Surfing
Growing from just a few members at the start of last year to a popular club with 20 or more on each trip, Leeds University Surf Club is definitely the best sports club!
Last year we organised trips to the Gower peninsular in Wales, Newquay and Scarborough, and some members got together to visit Ireland, France and Devon. More trips are already being planned for next year, these are always inexpensive and great fun, combining surfing with other outdoor pursuits such as cliff jumping, pogo sticking, sand dune diving, beach rugby and drinking!
Members range from Australian pros to complete beginners, so the ability to surf is not a requirement, just a love of the sea and a desire to have fun.
