LUU Theatre Group is a well-established society with 300 members and many projects offering anyone and everyone the chance to get involved in theatre.
Each term we put on at least three plays in various venues on and off campus and this year we are starting a season of workshops, both student-led and professional, which will cover different aspects of theatre performance and writing. We have regular social events and fundraisers, as well as organising theatre trips within Leeds and this term also aim to take a group down to London before Christmas.
Every August we take one or two plays up to the Edinburgh Fringe and have also been involved in the National Student Drama Festival. So, whether you can recite Shakespeare cover to cover, want to try some improvisation, would like to showcase some new playwriting, try your hand at directing or simply come to the many social events, TG has something for you.
