Green Action is a hands-on society concerned with environmental, social and political issues. Members run a food co-op based in the Union which sells cost-price vegan food that’s organic and Fairtrade where possible and lots of other ethical essentials.
You can also get organic fruit and vegetables from a box scheme via the co-op.
We've got an allotment on Woodhouse Moor, where we grow organic vegetables and have the occasional veggie/vegan barbeque! We regularly hold ‘bring-a-dish’ socials at people's houses and as a group we get involved in all sorts of campaigns and projects.
