Cross Country
Teams
We can enter as many teams as possible to each race so every body can compete and be part of the club. Details of fixtures are available on our website.
Competition
We compete in the University Relays series which involves six races throughout the country (Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Hyde Park London, Oxford, Nottingham) and compete at BUSA Cross Country Championships on Saturday 2nd February 2008 in Wales. We also go on tour and compete in a three day Easter festival in the Isle of Man as well an annual trip and race in Edinburgh and Durham.
Last Season
The Men's team was 9th at BUSA and the Women's were 8th as well as winning overall at the Isle of Man tour and always being in the mix at most races. We have a close relationship with Leeds City AC who are national champions over Cross Country and the Road.
Hopes for season ahead
We have a lot of potential in the squad, with current individuals competing at International Level not to mention a World Junior Triathlon Champion in the squad. We aim to get team Medals at BUSA this year.
Recruitment
We welcome EVERYBODY from beginner to elite and we have developed some athletes who started at a beginner level and they have gone on to represent their country in athletics.
